How does the game work?

Factoid Faceoff is played over three escalating rounds of trivia. Players buzz in to answer questions. Correct answers let you pick squares from the board — which may contain points, traps, or chaos.

What are the Special Squares?

• Kaboom! – A double-points question that targets other players. Answer correctly and steal. Miss it and pay the price.
• Flip-Side – Swap your score with someone else. But you’ve got five seconds to decide.
• Bonus – Free points... maybe. Or maybe not.
• Time-Out! – Force someone to sit out on the next question. Ouch -- BUT! They can Nope! out of it.
• Psych! – Make someone else answer. They can NOPE! it back at you — so choose wisely.

What is the Pity Pool?

The Pity Pool collects points from wrong answers and penalties. Each round, it grows larger. But only one player can claim it each round — if they dare.

What are NOPE! Tokens?

Each player gets one NOPE! token per round. Use it to block sabotage or avoid nasty square effects. Hold onto it all round? You might get a bonus — but that’s a risky play.

How does scoring work?

Points vary by round and action. Base questions earn increasing values each round. Bonus squares and sabotage effects add (or subtract!) from your total. The leaderboard can flip at any moment.

What happens in a tie?

We break ties with one final question. Fastest correct buzz-in wins. Sudden death, trivia-style.

Can the audience participate?

This show is contestant-focused, but audience games may occur during breaks. Keep your brain warmed up — you never know when chaos spills into the crowd.
